7 Mistakes to Avoid when Painting Cabinets in Sheboygan, WI
March 15, 20207 Paint Color Ideas For Your Brick Exterior in Sheboygan, WI
If you have been following this blog, you’ll know that there is a debate as to whether or not you should paint your brick exterior at all and if you read through that and came to the conclusion that you do want to paint your brick exterior, the next question that comes up is what color or colors you should use.
There are so many colors out there that you can consider, but not all of them, of course, is good for use on a brick exterior and in any case, you’re going to want to use exterior paint, not interior paint — this is a mistake that some people make.
This being the case, let us now look at and consider seven paint color ideas for your brick exterior in Sheboygan, WI.
1. Gray
Gray is a color that’s not entirely too dark but could be considered a neat neutral color.
It’s somewhat an intermediate color that falls between white and black, which means that if you’re going to choose it to paint your brick exterior, you’re personally on the color spectrum between those two colors.
If you think about a sky covered with a rich tapestry of clouds, this is the kind of color you’re going to be imagining likely, and this can be a rather lovely look for your brick exterior.
2. Dark Blue
Dark blue encompasses a number of different themes and ideas, one of which is that of the deep oceans, with all of the sea life that lives within it.
It’s also the same color as when the sky is entirely free of dark clouds in the sky, and a warm summer day on which you can feel free to lay about outside and try to get a tan if that’s your thing.
Blue is also the color of some rather rich gems, which are quite lovely and decorate many a necklace.
3. Green
Green is a color that people most often associate with a beautiful forest, a variety of trees that seem to have no end and somehow look just as nice up close as they do from afar.
4. White
White is the color of snow, of course, as well as sheets of rich white paper that you will find in a typical office environment, being loaded and getting letters printed.
White is also good for the brick exterior of your home as it tends to reflect light and will keep your home cooler during the summer.
5. Plum
Plum, of course, can be associated with the fruit of the same name.
It’s also similar to the color purple, which is one of the most beautiful and regal colors out there and, therefore, quite impressive for your exterior brick painting job.
6. Black
Black is not a color that you’re going to want to use if you’re shy about the negative connotations that go along with it.
Some will tell you that black is a negative color for any exterior of a home, particularly those who will tell you that a black house is creepy or haunted.
Though, of course, you should certainly consider these things as a possible downside if you are planning on selling your brick home sometime down the line, you can, of course, paint your home a different color when you do eventually put it on the market.
7. Brown
Brown is a color that is occasionally associated with a variety of muted or less than bright things in the world, among which are wood as well as, well, less pleasant things in the world.
Brown is a color that is not the most exciting color in the world, and yet it is a perfectly respectable color for the brick exterior of your home.
